I'm sorry that we are currently not talking. I didn't mean to insult you by not accepting your invitations these past 2 weekends. Halloween is a busy time. Family, other friends, and my boyfriend all had put their claims in well in advance. Am I supposed to cancel on them? Would you? You have so many other friends, such an active social life. You, who are always loudly proclaiming to be such an independant woman, you couldn't possibly depend on me that much. Right?

I'm sorry you don't approve of me dating my boyfriend because he is not of our religion. I suspect also the fact that he does take up much of my time now adds to your contempt. I can respect that. I'm far more used to being the friend that gets 'ditched' for a guy than the 'ditch-ee'. But I need you to respect that he IS my boyfriend. He does and will get first priority on my free time. You need to stop talking about him like you do. He's a good man. He accepts me for who I am like no one ever has, including you. He is warm, affectionate, respectful, and takes good care of me. He has a stable job, a car, pays his bills and his mortgage on time, and willing to use what little he has left over on me. There is no real reason for you to be so disapproving.

Could this all be wounded pride? I did notice you trying to catch his eye that January night on the dance floor, and as always, I stood back and let you do your thing. You are always so good at flirting and playing 'the game', rarely had you failed to hit your chosen target. But this time, he walked right past you, eyes on me, and we've been together ever since. 10 months now. Perhaps this is at least partially the reason for all the drama.

This is getting far longer than intended. I'm glad to get it out here, so I know what parts to omit when I apologize in person tomorrow. You can be very difficult, you know! I am sorry to make you feel left behind, and I do miss how we were before. So I will let you know that I am sorry, the rest will be up to you.
